Staff on time® PalmScan is a presence and access control system based on biometric technology for use in companies with up to 2,100 users.

Not only does Staff on time® PalmScan monitor presence; it can also be used to control access to a certain area of the company and allows different security levels to be assigned to individual users.

PalmScan technology identifies individuals based on the unique characteristics of the palms of their hand, including the lines, folds and crests.

The biometric system that we have developed scans these details from a section of the palm and compares them with a pattern to verify a user's identity.

The PalmScan terminal includes a keypad with 10 numbers that allows users to enter an individual user code, making the pattern search immediate and eliminating the chance of a false positive. The keypad also incorporates a cancel button and a special function/scanner activation key.

The PalmScan terminal also features and LCD screen, which uses text and graphics to indicate whether the person has successfully clocked in or out. It can also emit tones indicating the result of the operation.

The PalmScan terminal is connected to the control unit with a 5 meter USB cable.

The control unit administers the PalmScan terminal and stores the databases. It includes a TCP/IP network connection so that Staff on time ® can be integrated into a local area network. The system may also be administered using a remote connection, allowing access to Staff on time ® data from other points on the network.

This PalmScan solution includes a complete version of the Staff on time ® software. This software is made up of three modules: Staff on time® Admin (management and administration module), Staff on time ® ID (biometric recognition module) and Staff on time ® Info (quick user presence list).

•  Exports employees, entries and exits in CSV format (compatible with Excel, Access, etc.), making it possible to integrate Staff on time data with other applications and any other external management and/or control systems used in the company.

•  Can set special breaks during shifts, including private matters, doctor appointments, business visits, smoke breaks, etc.

•  Can assign different types of access permissions for restricted areas, which are specific to individual employees.

•  Meticulous, study design of terminal; terminal can be hung on the wall.
