STAFF ON TIME PRO BIO-I C-S

Staff on time® Pro BIO-I C-S is a solution for the management of human resources and for the control of access, based on the biometric technology (with fingerprint) and which is set up and managed in local network.  

The S.O.T solution Pro Bio-I C-S is composed of 3 elements:

1.  The Pro Bio-I C-S terminal
2. The S.O.T Server, or the S.O.T. / Saiwall
3.  The S.O.T. C-S Software

The Pro Bio-I C-S terminal
 
Biometric terminal for the management of human resources and the control of access. It uses a biometric scanner which overcomes the current fingerprint technologies, with a LE technology (Light Emission).

The LE sensor reacts when in contact with the fingerprint. The fingerprint’s wrinkles generate light, creating the exact image of the fingerprint, even if it’s dirty thus avoiding false rejects. It’s not possible to mislead the sensor using a graphic image of the fingerprint (because the fingerprint’s curbs, which activate the sensor, are missing), or using inorganic materials (because these materials lack of conductivity which generates the luminescence needed).

Staff on time PRO BIO-I C-S is able to compare up to 4.200 different fingerprints. It allows registering two fingerprints per employee with a maximum of 2.100 employees and realises 30 punches per minute.

It includes a 10 digits keyboard (+ function key + cancel key ) which allows you to assign, in option, an individual code to each user and special codes for entries and exits which will count or not as work time (business’visits, breaks to smoke...). In Addition, it includes a relay which allows controlling the doors’ opening, lighting panels, alarms…

The terminal includes a powerful CPU which has the following functions:

1. Runs the terminal and compares the biometric data registered.
2. Stores database from the sign ups realised in the own terminal and the sign ups realised with the other terminals
3. Connected to the server through VPN. Sends data from the sign ups to the server and receives data from the other terminals from the same server.

2.  The S.O.T. server or S.O.T. / Saiwall server:

The S.O.T server supports the S.O.T. C-S application. It maintains data centralized in the server and upgrades information of entrances and exits in the terminals. It works at the same time as a Web server for the management’s and set up’s tools of the S.O.T. C-S.

The S.O.T. / Saiwall supports the S.O.T. C-S / Saiwall application. Saiwall is a Virtual Private Network (VPN) application for the installation of S.O.T. C-S solution in organizations which don’t have a VPN or want to keep its S.O.T. solution apart from it. In addition to connect the terminal to the server (via GPRS, UMTS, ADSL...) through the Saiwall VPN, it also keeps data centralized in the server and upgrades information of the terminals about the entrances and exits.  It works at the same time as a Web server for the management’s and set up’s tools of the S.O.T. C-S.

3.  The S.O.T. C-S software

The SOT-CS Software is a Client/Server system, through TCP/IP networks, for the control of attendance which enables the management of multiple points of entrance/exit.

This hierarchy enables to use and store centrally data and is based on LAMP:

• Linux: highly powerful and flexible operative system included in the terminals and in the server.

• Apache: server of HTML websites for the user of the administration’s program.

• MySql: DataBase Server which enables to store data from the application.

• PHP: Translator of the pages written in PHP which is in charge of generating the HTML code for Apache.

The server storages and manages the Data bases Of the system, enables the administration of data on the companies through the Web interphase.

The terminals identify the employees and storage the sign-ups realised.

The data bases in the terminals contain all necessary data so that, if there is no network connection, it remains possible to sign up and to control the access.    

The system’s bidirectional synchronization maintains the integrity of the data bases of both server and the terminals and upgrades data when the network connection is back and/or when there are changes in the content.   
The terminals registered in the system can be in remote places so that they can be controlled in various offices, the distance between the terminals and the server is not important.

The Client/Server hierarchy and the capacity of simultaneity enable the employees to sign up from any terminal of the system, from department or office. It is not necessary to sign up at the exit with the same terminal that the employee used at the entrance or to register biometric data in the terminals where the employee has to sign up.  

Characteristics of the administration’s program:

• Configurable for multiple companies and departments.
• Enables the register of 10 fingerprints per each employee.
• Configurable for multiple types of shifts and calendars.
• Ability to register entrances and exits of employees with flexible schedules (with defined shifts).
• Assignation of days off and holidays.
• Reports, using filters, of entrances and exits during the day including punctuality and average worked hours
• Editings of entries and exits of the employees (shifts not completed, breaks…)
• Extraction to CSV format (compatible with Excel, Access etc) of all data, which enables you to have data obtained by SOT-CS with other applications or external systems of management and/or the companies’ own control system.
• Levels of security to entrance in the administration’s program adapted to each administrator/user. 
• Functioning with different points of entrances/exits in multiple offices.
